Haha, I actually have. I have noticed some that are complaining that the button mappings are horrible, and that they dislike the game because it is from Nicalis. I suppose they know that Nicalis did a terrible job on Cave Story+ (Steam) to the point that they hate the publisher all together...

My personal favorite is the "Barr" tileset. The reminiscence and the comfort of the color (and tiles) truly bring the comfiest moments to me.

Thank you! I mean I wouldn't say it may be better than Cave Story: A Lost Land, considering there were hours upon weeks put into that mod; but it could perhaps lead closer to being better.

I actually was not ready to join yet as I had been browsing through the forums as a guest, then I decided to join and then publish some stupid mod I had.
