This might just be me, but I think you should have made the game different colors. Not the title and game over screen, but I feel like the black and blue aren't aesthetically pleasing, and not very easy to see either.

The first one off the top of my head would be WTF Story. It allows you to choose between easy and hard difficulty, and it's also one of the better mods even thought it's incomplete.
