my bad if this was asked before, i havent really been checking here all too often haha. thanks for the answers though, a friend was interested in cave story and asked me what and what not to avoid, and this helped.

as you know cave story has been re-released many times, but what are the versions you would and would not recommend to a new player? why and why not? (maybe take price, gameplay, features, and the experience from that version into consideration)

living waterway has to be my favourite. ever since i first heard it i loved it. i just wish the waterway had more to it, like an extra area or something, so i could listen to the music more

Me and my brother got the Cave Story demo on our Wii when we were bored and wanted to play some new, cool lookin' games in March of 2012. Later we found the freeware version and played the heck out of that. Then we started getting every version of Cave Story we could get our grubby little hands...
