I've heard that it's possible to add/replace fonts to doconfig but the problem is that you can't really have it select a font that is not in the list. I can't really edit doconfig to allow file browsing/free typing instead of having a list to choose from anyway, unless I made my own version...

Honestly I could try making a shitty tool to change it with but I don't have the motivation for it rn. There's a good chance you did something wrong though.

Open config.dat with XVI32 or a similiar hex editor and type the name of the font you wanna use like this

You have to replace the old font name away, if you delete it then there arent enough characters in the file.

I think they mean font and not police. And as far as i know, you can't change it.

Most (if not pretty much all) companies are jerks that don't like to take the ideas of an individual unless they got some notable background, just because that individual walks up to them.

Oh yeah Walrus is right, you can't change the actual place where special bosses spawn unless you do some asm hacking. So it's best to build your map around this.

I can't look it up myself at the moment but I can say that it's a handy idea how it was done in Sand Zone. I do remember you'll have to set the special boss setting for the map though.
