Actually, many of my friends who were never fans of cave story heard of the game before I ever told them about it. that and plenty of them would love humanoid rabbit plushies.

The game has never lagged for me anywhere in the game even on the crappiest of dells. Sm had much more to explore than cs. Cs can have like 100 npcs on screen and still work perfectly

snes and genesis games have a limited memory supply and CS exceeds it. the music while having the classic feel, sets it self way apart from both consoles because its a custom format made by the same genius

cave story wasn't made by a company the size of Nintendo, it isn't owned by a company the size of Nintendo.. mimiga/balrog/misery/quote/curly plushies wouldn't be any disaster, and what Captain Fab meant by "please stop" is you are making too many threads too fast and many of them already exist...

basic platforming controls really don't make the games similar per say, and they are in no way the floatiest of indie platforms. and smb seams very straight forward compared to CS's metroidvania style. doesn't shovel knight take place during the same time period as battle toads? the time...

yeah, but those kinds of people are everywhere, and they've existed since civilization came to be. tbh they as a whole aren't a huge problem. individuals who use ideals as an excuse to be violent, cause panic, and/or spread misinformation are.
