    I guess I should've been more specific. The background and foreground both look superb (so much so that it blends in with the enemies sometimes), but the character models are really lackluster. 'Tis why I always play on Classic Mode.

    CS3D has to be the worst. $40 is a tad overpriced for "enhanced" graphics and minor level additions. CSWii was glitchy, but I appreciate the visuals much more (and it cost much less...). I'm sure CS+ would be my favorite if I owned it.

    Cave Story 3DS for Japan

    So can an NTSC 3DS play that version? I didn't like Cave Story 3D much at all, and I'd be willing to give the Japanese version a try... assuming that it's abundant on eBay and I don't have to buy a Japanese 3DS.

    What part of Cave Story are you most annoyed re-doing?

    Have you done Sand Zone on your pacifist run yet? During my experience with a 3HP run (I know it's not the same thing as the pacifist run) I was doing a while back, Sand Zone was more difficult than Bushlands. The tedious fetch-quest wasn't any fun, either.
