This is actually really cool! I love the way when you load your profile.dat it shows where your character last saved at, and the idea to have an MCI file is great for mods. This is an awesome save editor!

I wonder what it would be like if Pixel had that interview after a translation. It'd be interesting to see how Pixel's ideas from Cave Story transferred to Undertale and how he perceives them.

I can see this totally being a thing. I see some ideas from the Mother series definitely be used in Cave Story. Pixel said he was inspired by the metroidvania genre, but it's not too hard to believe he got some jrpg/rpg ideas too.

Currently trying to make a "training arena" so I'd have for instance the first wave be regular blue critters. I set them all to appear on flag 405, so when the "training arena wave 1" starts, the critters appear. One thing I find concerning; I want to set one of them to run a script on death so...

True, if you get hit with below 10 hp, boom, back to the boss gauntlet! It's annoying as is even with 50 hp, I hate getting hit and then having a choice, do hell with 40 hp, or reset the boss gauntlet just for another chance to hope to not get hit.

True, I feel to casuals, the blocks are really just an annoyance, and for speedrunners they're a stab to deal with. And while I'm not a speedrunner myself, at least you have a missile launcher and access to hp, hard mode at most gives you 8 which just doesn't cut it when everything does 3-10...
