Not true, that will just change what file extension it reads, but it will still treat the file data the same as a pbm (a bitmap with (C)Pixel at the end). A pbm by any other name is still a pbm. If you want it to interpret the data correctly, you'll have to edit the code that loads the pbm...

Well, idk about the facepics but a programming language that I use (namely Liberty BASIC) allows you to make .ico files. Idk of any other programs that do, sorry :(
