Well it is not a part of OUR timeline. Also, the existence of magic and a difference in gravity makes me assume that it is not earth. I recall an explanation upon how a earth radically changed and gave way to magic to become this fantasy world and blah blah blah and it made NO SENSE WHATSOEVER...

Even in Star Ocean where they confirmed it was a planet other than earth it STILL had earth trees and many earth similarities despite earth being a different planet in that game.
