There should be a mod that starts with the Monster X fight and you having the Nemesis. The timer starts when the battle starts and the timer stops when the battle is finished so that people can aim for best time.

It looks good. What you should do in my opinion is make the mimiga face only a tiny bit bigger than the size of the-sprite-of-you's face, another option would be to have the-sprite-of-you chibi style (big head) like all the other sprites in cave story.
