Yeap Yeap, that's the Droll. He's the one standing by the Teleporter, waiting for you to activate it {For some reason}, so he can yell "KILLER ROBOT!!" and jump on you. He then throws you in jail =D And magically disappears afterwards, though...

XD Large Quantities...had to laugh at that one... Negative 127!!! Anyways, the Last Cave is apparently one big hot spot, and there's Magma {that's Lava before being exposed to the surface} all around, trying to get out... That could explain why the Last Cave can change....

Wait, Drolls are Robots? And those are Grass-stains...? ... WHAT HAVE I BEEN LEAD TO BELIEVE!?!? Anyways, I can think up more scenes, if need be :D {And don't forget the "KILLER ROBOT!!" dialogue for the Droll =D}
