Time manipulation would ultimately grant you more power, in terms of physics. Since you could slow down time (and assumingly move at the same speed as normal even if time is slowed down), then you could move incredibly fast, and thus have much more momentum and be able to deliver huge amounts...

I don't know, I haven't seen Xaser in forever on the forums, and unless someone else is keeping in contact with him (if so, please reply), then for all I know schism is pretty much dead/on hold. And the reason my mod is taking so long is both the work required, and that I'm a bit lazy.

It's specified in the npc.tbl, which spritesheet it grabs it from. Just edit the npc.tbl.

No what I meant is that it's possible to reverse engineer the 2x resolution hack. [Edit]: It'd be more likely for someone to reverse engineer the hack than to make it from scratch. I mostly say this since it was very hard to make.
