Why would you ever write a Python interpreter in TSC? That would just be an exercise in retardation. TSC was made for scripting text/story events in Cave Story, and it does that perfectly fine. If you're trying to use TSC as an actual programming language, there is something seriously wrong...

That's not actually true. Pixel wanted the game to run at 60fps, but due to certain monitors refresh rates messing up with 60fps, he made it 50fps. The game feels more natural at 60fps. It feels sluggish at 50fps after you've been playing one of the 60fps ports for awhile.

I'm pretty sure the problem is the fact that you're using an HDMI cord to connect to the TV. Unless your resolution is set to 1280x720 (or maybe 1920x1080), the TV will cut off parts of your screen.
