The nemesis can shoot through deleets if you stand close enough, but the spur can't. Also the nemesis does so much damage that you can just spam until the thing in front is dead normally, and if it's a small enough enemy the nemesis bullet will go through it (without charging even!).

A note about the spur: It actually DOES/CAN lose exp, but this can only be seen while charging or while getting hit while fully charged. What charging the spur actually does is accumulate exp for the spur, with the exp dropping to 0 if you stop charging. You can charge up the spur faster if...
