Here's the trick: firing level 1 spur shots (which have no onscreen limit) away from ballos will fire limitless nemesis shots from curly that can't level up. Use that it you are just spamming.

I have been thinking about this for a while: what is your favorite (or one of your favorite) area(s) in Cave Story, and why? To start, I love Labyrinth M because of the Labyrinth Fight org, and the fact the curly fights with you.
