Re: WTF story demo v 0.4 You're right. 1 out of 20 hearts being an uboa heart that either insta-kills you or deals 1 damage and drops nothing when you kill it is more uboa-esque. Or just makes weird music play and the background change.

ive played many mods, but some of them aren't very enjoyable. It's hard to follow up Pixel's masterpiece with a mod, because people have such high standards. I've tried too many mods that I've stopped playing after 10 minutes :/

I dunno, I feel like I appreciate it more now that I know the game inside-out. I may idly complete the game every week or so, but that certainly doesn't mean it loses value to me. It's still one of my favorite games, period. Possibly my favorite. I love Cave Story, and playing through it again...
