    Open up the game's EXE in Resource Hacker, expand the "Version Info" folder, change all instances in the script of "1,0,0,6" to whatever version you want, click the "Compile Script" button, save your changes, and the version number should be changed.

    Yep, CRT televisions, as opposed to the flat-screen TVs you see today. The reason people use CRT televisions for these events is because the video signal is delayed when a GameCube is hooked up to a flat-screen TV, whereas CRTs receive the signal almost instantly.
