They won't reuse Lite as proof of them not reusing Pocket or Micro. So they'll name the smaller 3DS something else, maybe something unique.

Not enough if you ask me. We'll have even more 3DS's if history is correct. Brick Gameboy > Gameboy Pocket. Gameboy Color. Gameboy Advance > Gameboy Advance SP > Gameboy Advance Micro. DS > DS Lite > DS-I and DS-I XL. We need to have at least 5 different versions of the 3DS before it's over with.
