Instant use healing items will not work that way in a movie, unlike in the game it would take a while to heal/repair/whatever, this means that you cannot use it in the middle of a fight. There are only 3 scenes where the life pot can be used and all 3 involve Curly. :D Didn't you ever wonder...

Yes. Pixel didn't give Quote a last name, but he was originally called "Curly Brace" in the BETA version of cave story (hence the hat) but was later renamed to Quote, guess who got his old name. :D

Atravir is good at what he does and will try to fit it as close to the original story as possible while making it work as a movie, but he cannot fit everything in or afford to have Quote backtrack.

Atravir plans to do Ballos in a sequel. Trying to insert ballos in the end worked great for the game, but it would ruin a movie since Ballos had nothing to do with the main plot and would take away from the ending.
