check error.txt ........... did you save the exe somewhere that wasn't the same place as before? And for god's sake, dont' have doukutsu.exe in your My Programs folder. Or Resource Hacker for that matter. you don't seem to be very good at solving problems without handholding

that's because you A) need to pay attention to where you're saving it to B) add the ".exe" to the filename when you save it so windows knows what to do with it.

They are all in the data folder of the game. Rename extension ".pbm" to ".bmp" and open with your preferred image editing software. The font is the system font Courier New unless you're using the mac version in which case I don't know, there was a thread about that. also...
