I can't do much about that. All profile comments are stored in the database in an uneditable state (rendered as html). The system just isn't set up for it.

Editor now fixed. Problem was that it was looking for a set or plugin.js files that weren't required by the editor for the new buttons, so I added some empty ones in and it now works. Firefox 8 skipped over the issue, and so did IE by the sounds, but firefox 3 stopped script execution the moment...

Spoiler, hide and youtube buttons now all insert directly and wrap around the selected text. I modified the editor's code to hard code these buttons into the editor. Downgrading images to bbcode will take some work though. Are there any specific requests regarding the editor?

Very much this. You could in any other scenario, but it is not feasible for forum software since any spambot specifically targeting IPB forums will ignore it.

Soft deleting works now. However I'll have to add button icons for spoiler, hide, and youtube before I can take them out of the Special BBCode menu, so I'll leave it until tonight.

Oh I should note that BBCodes and emotes will only work on new profile comments. Older ones are are still BBCode-less.
