Your mapdata has suffered corruption. Use CE and right-click the map from the list and choose "Edit mapdata" and then re-set the images for tileset, npc set etc. then save the exe and try again, and hope the background doesn't also corrupt. Also, in future, try to use the Quick Answers thread...

You are free to put some (non-cs-related) storyline in your own parts if you like but I must stress the fact that these maps must be *modular* there can be no over-arching plot or storyline because if one person doesn't want to or can't fit a story into their segment then it all falls apart...

Often I have all audio off due to circumstances, but when I can I listen to the game's audio. Audio cues are just as important as visual ones, and a good soundtrack can contribute greatly to the atmosphere.

It's about a kilobyte of original code. It requires a pretty good understanding of the rendering system though, since you basically have to scrap the old title screen and render it with new calls from scratch. Also you need to know how to use user keystrokes to re-write the cursor movement code...

Objectively speaking, I think it's worth your while to wait for the second generation By then it will probably have a decent library of games and better battery life and maybe less weird start/select buttons.
