Making a new story would require me to have to make different events, different characters interacting and possibly new caves/sections replaced with old ones to better fit the story. And all I'm trying is to make a graphical rehash for CS, but one day I'l consider it.

I'm using Cave Editor so can remove the requirement for images and changing the file type to bmp. but when I try to open up Cave Editor (first at the main folder, the one where the .exe is at) all of the options are greyed out (or; unusable for a better word.) I tried moving Cave Editor around...

That's a glitch alright, reload your save if you haven't saved after beating Balrog, try it again. If that doesn't work I recommend you re-install the game.

Hmm. Since Christmas is coming up soon, I'l make a Christmas Cave Story. An HD version might be complicated, but I'l try.
