Ah, I'm pretty sure NXEngine does not fully support any language other than English. Most likely the reason why some Chinese characters show up is because the text shown are image files, and not the game actually trying to draw text. You would need to modify NXEngine to support drawing Chinese...

I prefer the AG translation because it gave the dialog more of an impact, and it characterized the game a whole lot more. Some good examples of this are found above (Good job, @HaydenStudios). I still enjoy the Nicalis translation, though. They could've done worse...

So, SEGA likes to re-release and port Sonic the Hedgehog 1 very often. Most people I know of that like Sonic have like 15 different copies of it, all on separate platforms and/or in different Classic SEGA collections.

I mean hey, Nicalis could have possibly looked at SEGA's business model and said: Hey, a lot of people own multiple copies of Sonic 1, why not have our customers do the same with Cave Story? So, I don't blame you.
