)Not really using RSDK, I'm actually using an engine made by an ex-developer from Evening Star called HatchGameEngine that's based on RSDK but is more general-purpose.utilizing the RSDK? that's... interesting. i suppose Godot wasn't doin' much for ya, so you decided "screw it, sonic mania."
commendable, really.
ah okay! i get it. good to know! Not really using RSDK, I'm actually using an engine made by an ex-developer from Evening Star called HatchGameEngine that's based on RSDK but is more general-purpose.
Vlw! Currently I'm just trying to figure out what I want to do with this game.i remember reading your posts about spearhead v1 a while ago, nice to see it's back! also you're a BEAST at pixel art god damn >:0 beautiful artwork dude
((btw its SO nice to see a fellow BRASILEIRO here. não vejo muitos brs comentando sobre CS (até na gringa já é meio esquecido TOT)) mtt bom man
!!! that's interesting. Kirby has also been a source of influence for my own game, particulary Kirby's Adventure for the NES. I have played bits of Dream Land 3 as well, but the NES title was the only I beat to the end. I like the vibes of NES titles lolVlw! Recently, I've been playing Kirby & The Amazing Mirror, I might so something like that.
I had written a story for it previously but it ended up getting too big for its own good. I'm writing a new canon about a cat & a fish trapped inside the body of a shark/fish hybrid.!!! that's interesting. Have you suceed in writing the story for Spearhead :?
Oohh that sounds promising! I think it's a natural thing to do and redo our scripts as times passes and our perceptions and skills evolve.I had written a story for it previously but it ended up getting too big for its own good. Yup! The first version of the story also went through many iterations each one got better when it came to the narrative & characters.Oohh that sounds promising! I think it's a natural thing to do and redo our scripts as times passes and our perceptions and skills evolve.
I wonder if the hybrid thing will have a role in the gameplay. Like, maybe a special movement mechanic? Idk lol but I'm curious!
Another question out of curiosity, but how are you handling the music for the project? I'm a musician so I'm always curious for the music aspect of projects lol 0u0
I like the concept! It expands the gameplay beyond only-rockfish or only-cavestory, you can take the best of two worlds!Yup! The first version of the story also went through many iterations each one got better when it came to the narrative & characters.
The idea with the hybrid thing is to allow the player to move both underwater and above water (If you remember Spearhead V1, that wasn't possible) I also thought of a bunch of funny scenarios that come with the dichotomy of opposite creatures being trapped in the same body.
I don't have a composer sadly but I'm always looking for someone to help!
D It could also be explored in more deep/dark ways (which wouldn't be too far of a strech considering Cave Story has some pretty mature things)... I plan the story to be more lighthearted in tone akin to something like Studio Ghibli's Ponyo (One of my favorite movies) but I'm open to tackling some darker themes in later sections of the game as well. Spearhead was always meant to be an environmentalist story.I like the concept! It expands the gameplay beyond only-rockfish or only-cavestory, you can take the best of two worlds!

I am a composer and I would love to help!!! I am always looking for projects to help in because it is a nice way to meet talented people and make contacts! ^^
I must confess, however, I am not soo versed in ORG Maker. I have made some tracks in PXTone and several in PiyoPiyo (my favourite of Pixel's softwares), but I'm willing to improve if you accept me!
i can make a test song for you or send some of my best works, if you want. pls consider the idea! Id love to help with Spearhead, it looks so cool!
Sent a friend request!I love Ponyo!! It was my favourite Ghibli movie as a child ^^ Once I read someone pointing how Ghibli vibed Cave Story is and I can't help but agree lol
Yeah you can hit me a DM on Discord it's @chipy.owo
Looking foward to it!
