I was planning to make a really insightful commentary combining both traditional compliments on what makes this piece stand out and thoughts on its theoretical and/or philosophical implications. Once in a blue moon I can bang one of those out, but unfortunately I was distracted by just /how much/ of a Mewtwo pose that is. Honestly, variations on that pose are used and abused by psychics or similar beings in just about every universe and form of media there is! I guess that goes all the way back to the concept of things that do physical things just by thinking - while having someone merely stand or walk around while fighting would be intimidating and neat, most people who employ the concept opt for unnecessary hand motions instead, probably for the simple reason of having a visual cue. Makes enough sense, I suppose!
