• Please stop embedding files/images from Discord. Discord has anti-hotlinking logic in place that breaks links to Discord hosted files and images when linked to from anywhere outside of Discord. There are a multitude of file/image hosting sites you can use instead.

The only problem is that I can't buy the Steam version, so I wouldn't be able to see the changes in real time.

I'm kind of clumsy with TSCs and there were mistakes when translating CS+ for Switch (which I've already fixed).

It's true that I can help you and that I know a lot about TSCs, but sometimes I don't know the size of the text box, whether it's 40, 39, or 36; Every time I translated the Switch version, I had to fix the text that went outside the text box. (My friend has a Switch and gave me the game ROM and I extracted the files, in case you're wondering where I got the Switch version from) and to test on my PC, I used Doukutsu-rs.

Likewise, I didn't pirate the game (Or so I think, I don't know if the fact that someone close to you, like your friend, "gives" you the game is piracy.), and in my Switch translation on GitHub I didn't share the game itself, only the TSCs and PNGs with text. (It's literally my second favorite game, even before Minecraft. If I wanted to, I would buy it.)
Okay, I get it. Don't worry.

For now, in a few days, I'm going to fork the project (if you allow it, of course) so some people can test it in the meantime.

A new beta update is out!

This update provides another batch of bugfixes, as well as some quality-of-life improvements for the challenges. Notably, a missing feature from the DSiWare version of Sanctuary Time Attack has been restored, which skips over the introductory room when restarting. This feature has been added to the other challenges as well, making them more enjoyable to attempt over and over again!

Fixes:
  • Quote's outfit changing when using the teleporter
  • Screen-shake only being vertical
  • Small maps only being centered horizontally
  • Double-spaces in dialogue
  • Game crashing when trying to load a nonexistent screen shader
  • Bugs when spawning second player during Ironhead boss battle
    • Camera moving from its fixed position
    • Player 2 not having the correct controls
  • 'Happy Holiday Euphemism' achievement not having an icon
  • 'MyChar' Lua code not being loaded
  • Game hanging until the OK button is released upon exiting to the title screen
  • Some achievements not unlocking in Curly Story
  • Sanctuary Time Attack lacking its starting checkpoint from the DSiWare version
    • Starting checkpoints have been added to all challenges
  • Door at the start of Nemesis Challenge lacking a doorframe
  • Critters spawning in mid-air at the start of Wind Fortress
  • Vanishing block in Jail No. 1 switching to the wrong type of water block
  • CPU core utilisation at 100% when V-sync is forcefully disabled
  • Various minor sprite issues
  • Jellies occasionally moving to the left indefinitely
  • PNGs not being combined correctly when using indexed color
  • Analogue sticks being detected incorrectly during controller rebinding
  • Classic graphics boss life bar having a visible seam
  • Exiting a challenge causing the main menu to start in the wrong submenu
  • 'Kings of Power' achievement bugs
    • Being unlocked by obtaining maximum missiles
    • Not tracking total damage
  • Undated save data showing a date of 01/01/1970
  • The Press and the 'Egg Corridor?' Beetle having permanent solidity

Modding additions:
  • Expansions without save data are now able to use the '<SVP' command, effectively creating a checkpoint
    • This is how the challenges now skip their spawn room

Build 26-05-20 has been released. Highlights include improved Organya music playback, higher-quality sound effects, and the ability to restart challenges.

Fixes:
  • Crash that would occur when playing the game without Steam running
  • Image at the end of Sanctuary Time Attack not disappearing if the player exits to main menu whilst it is being shown
  • Some chests not being openable at the start of Sanctuary Time Attack if the health capsules are collected first

  • When playing a challenge, there is now a 'restart' option in the pause menu
