What got you into Cave Story?

I saw a game on Roblox that was a Cave Story port, I was ignoring it at first, but since it kept popping up on my recommendations, I decided to play it.

 

I discovered it when Epic Games gave it away for free. Like I usually do, I also put Cave Story on the endless wait list, but thankfully one day finally decided to try it, and wow, I don't often replay games but I replayed this like a dozen times. I wanted to play it on Linux too so I tried Cave Story Tweaked. On my phone I played the Genesis port until doukutsu-rs came along, although it didn't have controller support until now so I never tried playing with the Spur on Android, but now I will. And today watching the Cave Story speedrun on SGDQ2019 made me realize that speedrunning Bloodstained Sanctuary is not that impossible, so I might try it in the future.

 

The free demo on the Wii shop. I played it constantly when I was a young'in, and I loved it. Watched a bunch of playthroughs, listened to the music... Then I finally managed to get my hands on the game itself when I got my 2DS, adn the rest is history.
