• Please stop embedding files/images from Discord. Discord has anti-hotlinking logic in place that breaks links to Discord hosted files and images when linked to from anywhere outside of Discord. There are a multitude of file/image hosting sites you can use instead.

    Drafts are basically "remember what I was typing here in case my browser crashes or something else goes wrong". A draft is saved or updated every minute, and cleared after an hour. The draft options are:
    1. Save/update a draft manually.
    2. Clear the draft so that whatever message you half typed and abandoned an hour ago stops appearing in the editor.

    99% of the time you don't even need either option. For #1 the 60 second auto-draft is enough to get people out of a pinch when composing long posts, and for #2 most people would just remove the old text if they wanted to start a new post instead of resuming an old one.

    Hey, there's a Russian spambot running riot over the forums. can someone please ban this idiot? Thanks, so far the first 3 pages of the threads list have been swallowed by this nonsense. Already reported the member and as many of the posts as I felt like, so it should be easy to find.

    i have a feeling that there's nothing we can exactly DO about all the spambots. they've been a problem for a WHILE. and. well, i'm guessing we can't exactly IP ban them, because the bot farms that run these pieces of shit like, have a billion vpns, so you can't exactly get rid of them. it's like a hydra, you cut off one head, two grows in its place. and this forum's honestly fucked in that regard. eventually, i think all of the activity here WILL be spambots. dead internet theory and allat. but i guess best thing we can do is just. report the bots. easy as pie.

    also while i'm at it, a couple of suggestions for the site
    -on the pixel's works overview page, under gekiai, typo: 'colab' -> 'collab'
    -under megane, it may be worth mentioning that darkman (kuroihito) now goes by room_909
    -the page for haru to shura could use a bit of a blurb or description of the game's contents, like there is for most other games here
    -in works lost to time, it may be worth including the description for pixwatch that rain found on the archive (mentioned in the dev. room pixel discord)

    There's this press release on Raindrop Sprinters where room_909 (Shuhei Miyazawa) says he used to go by the handle name 'kuroihito', which literally translates to 'darkman'.
    For Haru to Shura, how about this: "Haru to Shura is a side-scrolling story-focused adventure game where you play as Chihiro, a high-school student with chronic medical issues filled with uncertainty about the future.     You guys are going to have to be waaayyy more specific. This isn't some simple one-size-fits-all operation.

    Are you wanting content to be removed?
    If you are after content removal then keep in mind that I cannot delete thread-starting posts, but I can edit them. Also I will not do anything about quoted text in other people's posts unless there is something specific that must be edited for privacy concerns (like you putting personal details in the contents of a post). On this note deleting content breaks the flow of conversation in threads, so think carefully about whether you want to do this. Of course given your low post count you can do this yourself if needs be.

    Are you just wanting just the security of not having your password or personal details associated with a website you no longer use?
    So long as your account is associated with content then I can't delete your account outright. That said I can change the password to something random, replace your email address, remove your avatar/banner, remove/edit your signature/about text, remove any sort of identifying information, and/or even permaban the account. You just need to tell me what you specifically need.

    Are you moving to a new account?
    I could merge this account's contents into your new account if that is the case.

    Nice! Seems to play! Though, only org I could test with was a link from cavestory.one. Almost any other filehost I've tried doesn't allow hotlinking org files, or something else is going on I'm not noticing. And attach files won't allow an org file to be uploaded...
